Access in Focus home

Accessibility Statement

At AccessInFocus, I want everyone to be able to use this website with ease. I work to make it as accessible and inclusive as possible, following the principles of the European Accessibility Act and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2 Level AA).

How I Support Accessibility

Accessibility is part of how this site is built and maintained. To keep improving, I do the following:

  • Test the site often with screen readers, keyboards, and other assistive tools.
  • Make sure all buttons and links are easy to reach by keyboard and have clear focus, hover, and active states.
  • Use automated checks to spot and fix common issues.
  • Listen to feedback from users and improve areas that cause problems.
  • Check how the website works on both desktop and mobile devices.
  • Use easy-to-read fonts, clear labels, and familiar icons to match user expectations.
  • Keep strong colour contrast for text, buttons, and images. Support dark mode and reduced motion.
  • Keep pages clear and usable when you zoom or use different screens.
  • Write in plain language so information is simple to follow.

Personal Approach

As a screen reader user, I pay close attention to how the site behaves with assistive technology. I also know people use the web in many different ways. My goal is to make this space comfortable and usable for everyone, no matter how they browse or interact with it.

Current Limitations

I aim to meet accessibility standards, but some areas may still be a work in progress. This can happen when third-party tools or embedded content do not yet support full accessibility. I keep searching for better options to make every part of the site accessible to all users.

Technical Compatibility

This website works with modern browsers and many assistive technologies, including screen readers, voice control, and screen magnifiers. It is also tested with keyboard-only navigation on both desktop and mobile devices.

Feedback and Contact

Your feedback helps make this website better for everyone. If you notice something that doesn’t work well for you, please let me know. I respond to all messages and try to fix issues as soon as possible.
